What is a warranty and am I covered?
A warranty provides a promise from one party to the other that certain conditions, such as the quality or lifespan of a product, will be met. If the product doesn’t meet the conditions of the warranty, it can usually be returned, repaired or replaced.
Revive Roof Restoration offer a 10 year written workmanship warranty on:
➢ Roof Restoration Coatings
“We warrant that our workmanship is of the highest industry standard, whilst using industry leading materials and in a professional and courteous manner.”
Our suppliers also provide a manufacturer’s material warranty:
➢ Dulux® AcraTex® warrants that the 962 Roof Membrane coating system applied to the Project will retain its film integrity and not peel or crack or suffer deterioration as a result of faulty manufacture or formulation of the coating system for a period of ten years* from the date of application…
➢ For COLORBOND® steel and ZINCALUME® steel, BlueScope Steel offers a warranty against corrosion to perforation by weathering in the natural. BlueScope Steel also warrants that the paint system on COLORBOND® steel will not flake or peel due to natural weathering for a period of up to 20 years* from the date of installation.
All too often we are called to unsuspecting customers homes to rectify problems caused by a “dodgy” roof restoration. You may ask… why are they having Revive rectify their roofing problems? Well, that’s because the so-called company that provided the roof restoration no longer exists.
Ask yourself these questions:
➢ Are they a registered business? (Google them)
➢ Was the salesperson employed by the company I’m looking to engage or sub-contracted to fill this role?
➢ Does the company provide their own suitably experienced and qualified employees or are they sub-contracted too?
➢ Are they registered painters? (This is a legal requirement)
➢ Are they a DULUX® Registered Roof Applicator?
If not – then what is your warranty really worth?
